The "Content Smart Switch" product family (VP1G – VP10G) is made up of

software platforms that support several applications to manage and control

telecom operators' high bandwidth content. They provide different services to

supervise, prioritize, neutralize and control the content traffic and the network

applications in real-time. The modularity of the license system enables you to

accompany the growth in "data" traffic while protecting investment at the same

time. Deployment on standard servers provides an extremely competitive

price/performance ratio and offers scalable flexibility in terms of performance,

while avoiding the purchase of costly proprietary platforms.

The Content Smart Switches can manage one or several 1GE links (VP1G family)

or 10GE links (VP10G family). They provide the following applications:

• Multimedia Tracking: this service captures all the information and events in

the broadband flow and applies different selection criteria to extract accurate use

information in real time. These data can be formatted to different standards

(IPDR, etc.) and provide volume and bandwidth statistics on application uses and

their network traffic (Facebook, YouTube, gaming, etc.), and detailed statistics of

the most popular URLs or the most frequently exchanged files (films, music,

games, etc.) transiting within the network.

Solution for mobile and landline operators

• Broadband Bandwidth Optimization: this service is dedicated to the control

of applications and content for improved Quality of Service (QoS) and finely

adjusted management of the broadband bandwidth from applications (OTTs) and

content (files, URLs, etc.). It provides functionalities of limits per application and

allocation of bandwidth according to multiple parameters (volume and/or minimum

and maximum bandwidth, thresholds, etc.).

Solution for datacenters and landline operators

• Content Policy & Charging Enforcer: this application provides supervision of use

and implementation of traffic rules per user according to their client profile to provide

real-time invoicing functionalities. It is a fundamental building block for launching

innovative service offers.

Solution for mobile operators

• Anti-Pirate & Regulations: designed to protect revenue and ensure

compliance with regulations, this service takes responsibility for controlling content

circulation (URLs, films, music, files, etc.) and encourages the growth of legal

content offers. It integrates an access blocking and monitoring function for specific

content, applications or protocols.
